How It Works
No single approach is enough. Birds adapt. Scaretech deploys multiple simultaneous deterrents - and keeps rotating them so birds never get a chance to habituate.
Lifelike Human Figure
Modelled as a realistic technician in full PPE - hardhat, high-vis, raised arm. Birds recognise human presence as a threat. The flexible foam body moves naturally in wind, constantly reinforcing that impression.
PIR Motion Sensors
Passive infrared sensors detect approaching birds and trigger active deterrent responses. Lights and sound activate on detection - not continuously - preventing the device from becoming background noise that birds learn to ignore.
Sonic Bird Scaring
Integrated marine-grade speakers deliver bespoke bird-of-prey distress calls. Sound patterns are varied to prevent birds from becoming accustomed to a fixed sequence - a key reason other sonic deterrents ultimately fail.
Strobe Lighting
Four strategically positioned strobe lights deliver random and motion-triggered light patterns - proven to disorientate birds and prevent landing. Positioning covers all approach angles around the asset.
Regular Repositioning
The unit is regularly repositioned on the asset by qualified riggers using certified lift points and rigging techniques. Moving the device prevents long-term familiarisation - the single biggest reason other deterrents eventually fail.

Fully self-contained. Twin solar panels (both sides) with integrated power supply and bird-scaring control panels. Ideal for wind turbine generator nacelles and remote offshore locations without mains power.
